SafeRates Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between Sognora and the merchant using SafeRates on a Wix site. Installing or using SafeRates means you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app or uninstall it.

1. Service

SafeRates receives Wix shipping-rate requests for supported US domestic checkouts, requests live USPS estimates through a managed Shippo feed and returns up to three supported services. It can substitute a merchant-configured flat USD backup rate when the feed fails or has no supported non-UPS rate. It records request outcomes and flags carts that needed the merchant's default weight.

SafeRates does not connect your carrier account, buy or print labels, fulfil orders, track shipments, process returns, calculate duties, or support international shipping. UPS rates are excluded from the checkout response.

2. Subscription and billing

SafeRates is listed at $15.00 per month after a 14-day free trial. Wix creates and collects the subscription; SafeRates does not receive your payment-card details. You can cancel through Wix or by uninstalling the app. Wix controls invoices, renewals, cancellation timing and refunds.

3. Merchant responsibilities

• Enter and maintain the correct US ship-from ZIP, package dimensions, weight and backup rate.
• Add accurate weights to products in Wix and review requests flagged as using a default weight.
• Enable SafeRates in each intended Wix US shipping region and keep another suitable method if needed.
• Review the final carrier charge before buying a label and comply with shipping and consumer laws.

4. Estimates and third-party services

Checkout amounts and transit times are estimates based on the request data, SafeRates settings and the rates Shippo returns. They can differ from a later label charge because of negotiated account pricing, measured dimensions or weight, address corrections, service availability, taxes and carrier surcharges. SafeRates does not promise that a checkout estimate will equal the final label price or delivery date.

Wix, Shippo, USPS, Fly.io and Supabase are third-party services outside Sognora's control. Their outages, delays, API changes and rate availability can affect SafeRates. The configured backup is the recovery path for a live-feed failure.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use SafeRates unlawfully, probe or interfere with its security, submit malicious traffic, misrepresent rate estimates as carrier guarantees, or attempt to access another merchant's data. We may suspend access needed to protect the service, Wix users or third parties.

6. Data and ending service

The Privacy Policy explains what SafeRates processes and how to request deletion. Uninstalling stops normal app access. When Wix delivers the removal event, SafeRates clears its refresh token and removes stored settings and quote history.

7. Availability, warranties and liability

SafeRates is provided as is and as available. To the extent the law permits, Sognora disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit or lost sales arising from use of the app. Sognora's total liability for a claim relating to SafeRates is limited to the subscription fees paid for the app during the twelve months before the claim. This does not limit rights or liability that applicable law does not allow the parties to exclude.

8. Changes, governing law and contact

Material changes appear here with a new effective date. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without removing mandatory protections that apply where you operate. Questions go to shin@sognoragroup.com.
