SafeOptions — Terms of Service

Effective 8 August 2026

These terms are the agreement between you, the merchant operating a Shopify store, and Sognora, which operates the SafeOptions app. Installing or using the app means you accept them. If you do not accept them, uninstall the app.

1. What the app does

The app adds product option fields — an engraving message, a font, a gift note — to your storefront through a theme app block that you place in your product template. For each order it then checks whether the option field keys your option sets require were attached to that order. When they were not, it records the order as missing an option and emails an alert to the address you configure.

That is the whole service. The app does not create, edit, cancel, hold or fulfil orders, it does not change your products beyond publishing your own option-set definitions to a single app-owned metafield, and it is not a substitute for your own review of an order before you fulfil it.

2. Subscription and billing

The app costs $14.90 per month for each shop, after a 14-day free trial. The charge is created and collected through Shopify Billing and appears on your Shopify invoice: the app never sees, receives or handles your card details. You cancel by cancelling the subscription or uninstalling the app in your Shopify admin, which stops the next charge. Because Shopify collects the payment, a refund of a charge already collected is handled through Shopify. If the price ever changes, Shopify will ask you to approve the new charge before it takes effect.

3. What you are responsible for

4. What we do, and what is outside our control

Checking is best effort. The app verifies orders from Shopify's order-created webhook, and re-reads recent orders on a schedule and on demand from the Settings screen, so that a webhook which never arrived delays a check rather than skipping it. Within that effort, the following are outside our control and are not a failure of these terms:

We do not promise a specific uptime figure, and we may change or discontinue parts of the app; a change that materially reduces what the app does will be announced on this page before it takes effect where we are able to give notice.

5. Your data

The app does not store buyer identity, and does not store the values buyers type into option fields — it compares field keys, so a check records that a field did not arrive and never what someone wrote in it. What is stored, for how long, and how it is deleted is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. For that data Sognora acts as your service provider and processes it on your instructions to operate the app.

6. Ending the agreement

You may uninstall the app at any time from your Shopify admin; checking and alerts stop immediately and the session is removed. Shopify sends its shop/redact request 48 hours later, and that request deletes everything the app holds for your shop. We may suspend or end the service for a shop that is using the app unlawfully or in a way that damages the service or other users, or if Shopify removes the app from its platform; where we can, we will tell you first.

7. Warranties and liability

The app is provided as is and as available. We do not warrant that every order will be checked or that every alert will be delivered — section 4 sets out the limits — and to the extent the law allows, Sognora is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profit or lost sales, arising from your use of the app; our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the subscription fees you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in this section excludes or limits a right you have under consumer protection law or any other law that cannot be waived by agreement, or our liability for fraud or wilful misconduct.

8. Changes to these terms

Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the app after that date means you accept the changed terms; if you do not, uninstall the app.

9. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and the courts of the Republic of Korea have jurisdiction over disputes about them. This does not take away any protection given to you by the mandatory law of the country you are in. The app is operated by Sognora; questions about these terms go to shin@sognoragroup.com.
